Q: How does LULA work?
A: LULA is an app that connects corporate commuters who work for the same company and live in similar areas with a door to door shuttle service. LULA crowd sources information according to four key components; your residential address, work address, arrival and departure times. Once there is sufficient demand in an area and passengers have coordinating times, a route will be published. If there is insufficient demand in an area, encourage your friends and colleagues to sign up to the platform to expedite your loop request. Once a route is published you will receive a notification of its availability.
Q: How much does it cost to ride with LULA?
A: Pricing is calculated after a route is published. The total cost of the loop is calculated based on the distance of the trip as well as the number of passengers riding on a loop.
Q: How does LULA differ from ride-sharing services?
A: LULA is a scheduled service. Loops are created around your arrival and departure times from work. Prices are fixed and you will not experience price surges during peak times.
Q: Where does LULA currently operate?
A: LULA is currently only operational in Cape Town with opportunities to expand to other major cities across the country.
Q: What if I do not want to ride with LULA everyday?
A: There are options to purchase daily, weekly or monthly passes at your convenience.
Q: Can I sign up if my company has not partnered with LULA?
A: You may sign up to the platform if your company has not partnered with LULA, however it is less likely that loops will be available for you.
Q: How do I cancel my ride?
A: LULA has a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you notify us 24 hours before canceling your ride, we can provide you with a full refund. If you fail to provide 24 hour notice, we will not be able to refund your ride.
Q: What happens if I miss my ride?
A: If there is another ride going to your area within an hour of your previously missed ride, then you may join that loop.
